6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • FOOD: Riverton General Store (Coffee, food, ice cream)

8:00 AM – 2:00 PM  

  • DRINK: Specialty Christmas Coffees at Coffeology (2 School Street)

10:00 AM – 6:00 PM      

  • SHOPPING: Vendor Marketplace and Tea Cup Auction supporting the Historic Riverton Grange Hall; Pick up your passport to win prizes
  • SHOPPING: Shops at Riverton Marketplace (2 School Street) and Goat Petting Zone
  • SHOPPING: Village Gift Shoppe
  • REST: Riverton Vol. Fire Department is open for cooling and rest
  • DONATE: Support the Community Food Bank with non-perishable food and cash donations – Riverton Fairgrounds
  • FUN: Festival of Christmas Blow ups brought to you by the Muhl family!

11:00 AM – Noon    

  • FUN: Hike the brand new 1-mile loop David Leff Trail at the end of School Street featuring local historic sites (hosted by Friends of American Legion and Peoples State Forest)

10:00 AM – 6:00 PM    

  • FUN: 30+ Local Authors Showcase in the barn at the historic Riverton Fairgrounds

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM          

  • FUN: Balloon artist along Main Street with Miss Carol the Balloon Lady

11:00 AM – 5:00 PM          

  • FOOD: Orchard Hill Baking / Norbrook Beer Truck

Noon – 9:00 PM        

  • FOOD: Royal Coachman Tavern at the Old Riverton Inn (436 East River Road)

Noon – 3:00 PM        

  • FUN:  Visit the Farmington River Steward Team station with nature-themed Christmas ornaments for families to make.    

1:00 PM – 4:00 PM          

  • FOOD: Summertime Sno-balls (shaved ice) on the Riverton Grange Hall Porch (17 Riverton Road)
  • FUN: Wagon rides around the village courtesy of White Pines Campground (loading/unloading at Riverton Fairgrounds, Shops at Riverton Marketplace, and across the street from the Riverton Vol. Fire Department
  • FUN: Free Popcorn at Popcorn Cart sponsored by Riverton Lions Club
  • FOOD: Members of Barkhamsted Senior Center get a free ice cream cone at the Riverton General Store

1:00 PM – 5:00 PM      

  • FUN:  Shelley(Cuz We Can) Thibault balloons for kids

3:00PM – 4:00 PM      

  • FUN: Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at the Riverton Fairgrounds Administration Building (candy for children) – bring your camera and get a fun photo!

3:00 PM – 5:00 PM      

  • FUN: Christmas Carolers around the Village

3:00 PM – 6:00 PM  

  • FUN: Campfires at the Riverton General Store and Riverton Fire House with free smores for the children and campfire wood courtesy of White Pines Campground

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM      

  • FUN: Flag Folding demonstrations with Riverton American Legion Post (3 Riverton Road)

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM            

  • FUN: 34th Veteran of the Month ceremony hosted by Riverton Grange and Riverton American Legion Post (Riverton Fire House, 3 Riverton Road) - POSTPONED.

7:00 PM – 9:00 PM        

  • FUN: Free musical concert featuring Beale Street Eastband on the bandstand at the Riverton Fairgrounds. Bring a blanket and friends and enjoy this free outdoor event! Sponsored by the Riverton Merchants Association and the Union Agricultural Society of Barkhamsted, Colebrook & Hartland.

  • SHOPPING/FUN: Shops at Riverton Marketplace and Goat Petting Zone
  • SHOPPING: Village Gift Shoppe
  • FUN:  Shelley (Cuz We Can) Thibault balloons for kids (floating around the village)
  • REST: Riverton Vol. Fire Department is open for cooling and rest
  • DONATE: Support the Community Food Bank with non-perishable food and cash donations – Riverton Fairgrounds

  • FUN: Face painting with the Aura of Beauty

  • FOOD: Orchard Hill Baking / Norbrook Beer Truck

  • FOOD: Royal Coachman Tavern at the Old Riverton Inn (436 East River Road)

1:00 PM – 4:00 PM          

  • FUN: Tour the Barkhamsted Historical Society’s historic Squire’s Tavern and view some of their extensive local history collection. (100 East River Road)

5:30 PM          

  • FUN: Christmas in July teacup auction drawing supporting the historic Riverton Grange Hall; winners need not be present to win. Event Passport prize winners to be awarded.

6:00 PM      

  • Event concludes
